Project Description
Residential – New Site Sanded Hardwood Floor Installation and Finishing | Radnor, PA
First time homebuyers. They had existing pre-finished Hickory floors on the first floor. Stairs, leading to upstairs were both covered with carpet. They were working within the budget. So I suggested refinishing the first floors and going natural which will get rid of that brown murky color that is existing and we can go natural using coat for coats of finish, the show all the charm and character of the floor. As far as the stairs and upstairs, they thought they would have to install new floors.
I suggested that I have the capability to refinish their existing subfloor‘s, which is a large part of my business. They were thrilled at my idea, and they were also thrilled at the way things have turned out. I was able to save them a lot of time and money by refinishing the existing sub floors, and some steps after the carpet removal. We also went natural on the stairs and upstairs as well which was red pine. As you can see in the pictures, everything matched well, considering we had pine and hickory throughout the house.
