Staircase Installation & Custom Finish | Glen Mills, PA
This repeat client previously partnered with Hudson Hardwood for a Center City project and reached out again after moving to Glen Mills. They were looking to upgrade their staircase and create a smooth transition to the existing prefinished hickory flooring on the main level of their new home.
To keep the project budget-friendly while still achieving a high-end result, we recommended installing unfinished white oak treads paired with primed risers. Once everything was installed, we custom-stained the treads to fall directly between the natural color variations in their hickory floors. This approach allowed us to match tone and character without the premium cost of specialty hickory stair materials.
Our team removed all handrails and spindles, installed the new treads and risers, and completed all finishing on site. The result is a clean, cohesive staircase that blends beautifully with the prefinished hickory floors throughout the home. The homeowners were thrilled with the transformation.
