Residential Installation & Refinishing | Washington Square – Philadelphia, PA
Undertaking a comprehensive hardwood floor installation project, our team initiated the transformative process from scratch. This project encompassed various tasks, starting with the essential repairs on the subfloor and the installation of luan on every floor. For the first floor, we executed a distinctive installation, incorporating 5-inch white oak and a herringbone pattern.
The project extended to refinishing 6000 square feet of flooring, along with the refinishing of 100 treads and risers, and the refinishing of all handrails. The comprehensive approach began with the demolition of the old floor, followed by the installation and refinishing of the entire 6000 square feet. Notably, the stairs and handrails, initially constructed with walnut wood, underwent a significant transformation.
Our client opted for a striking contrast, choosing a light Bona Traffic finish for the floors and a darker shade for the stairs and handrails. This intentional design choice added depth and character to the overall aesthetic of the space, creating a harmonious blend between the various elements.
