Project Description

Installation & Refinishing  | Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia, PA

For this project, our client envisioned bespoke white oak herringbone floors. Despite our suggestion to refinish their already flawless maple floors and save a considerable amount, they were steadfast in their desire for pristine herringbone floors while retaining their existing floating stair treads. Executing their vision, we dismantled the maple floors, expertly installing and finishing the new white oak herringbone pattern. Simultaneously, we refinished the stair treads. The client was very pleased with the results.

In addition to this, we seamlessly integrated primed quarter-round molding with the existing baseboards. Understanding our client’s preference for a natural, low-sheen finish with exceptional durability, we employed the industry’s finest—a two-component waterborne finish named “Natural.”

The floating stair treads, initially builder-grade pine, presented a unique challenge. However, our craftsmanship shone as we customized a stain to harmonize them seamlessly with the new floors. The client, initially apprehensive, was pleasantly surprised at the flawless cohesion achieved.

As they settled into their revamped space, a minor hiccup occurred when furniture movers inadvertently scratched the newly finished floors. Swiftly responding to their distress call, we successfully rectified the issue, leaving our clients reassured and their floors impeccably restored.
